Nick McKinney

Gold River, California

Mr. McKinney began working as a Law Clerk at Alves Radcliffe in his second year of law school. In 2018, he graduated law school with distinction. While in law school Mr. McKinney was on the Dean’s Honor List and was the recipient of several awards and scholarships including the William Russell Knudson Memorial Scholarship for Leadership in Law, Gary V. Schaber Memorial Scholarship, and Other Alumni Association Awards. Mr. McKinney received a Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in Employment Law and participated in the Employment and Labor Law Student Association as its president.

Mr. McKinney was a member of the University of the Pacific Law Review as a staff writer and on the board of editors as the Chief-Symposium-Editor. He was published in the legislative edition of the University of the Pacific Law Review for his article on Education Legislation proposed during the 2016 legislative session.

Mr. McKinney grew up in Montana and spent his youth hiking, camping, and learning to fly airplanes in mountainous terrain. He continues to enjoy spending time outdoors in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada with his wife and dogs. You can also find him visiting local wineries and enjoying the great culinary experiences Northern California has to offer.

Legal Experience
As a law clerk, Mr. McKinney was actively involved in the drafting of discovery, pleadings, and motion practice. This includes extensive research regarding numerous legal issues regarding claims under California’s Landlord-Tenant Statutes, the California Labor Code, the California Business and Professions Code, as well as several tort and business related statutes.
